I write for brands the way I like to experience them: clearly, with curiosity, and with the right amount of personality. Over the past several years that's looked like hands-on brand strategy and content production for global names like Nike and the Elizabeth Taylor Estate, editorial direction for beauty and entertainment companies, and journalistic coverage of LA's DIY music scene.

No matter the project, the through-line remains the same: find the story worth telling, and tell it well.

FUNKHAUS

As the Senior Writer of Funkhaus’ content division, I establish brands and evolve existing ones through strategic storytelling, collaborating with our design and tech departments throughout the process.

Recent projects include researched editorial for House of Taylor, strategic content recommendations for Nike, content style guide creation for Fuzzy Door and 100x Hospitality, mission-driven positioning for Stop Stalking Us and web copy for Jhpiego, naming and identity building for Holland Partners, and ongoing editorial programming for MakeMake Entertainment and Wolf Entertainment. I also lead editorial production for the Funkhaus blog, and ensure that all our writing meets our high standards of quality — including the case studies linked above, which were written by yours truly.

Facile Skincare

Clinical, conscious, kind, sustainable, and above all, easy — meet Facile Skincare: a simplified daily regimen of proven, dermatologist-formulated products designed to help you achieve the best version of your skin.

I managed the development of a new web presence to support the launch of Facile Skincare, and wrote and maintained product and service copy for use on the site. I also contributed actionable copy to marketing materials, including sales decks, one-sheets, and email campaigns, and ensured that all content remained consistent with the Facile brand voice.

theSKIN

Equal parts self-expression and empowerment, theSKIN serves as a space to discover and explore beauty as you see it. With curated beauty and wellness shopping built into the site experience, theSKIN is where editorial meets e-commerce.

As Junior Editorial Manager, I led planning of the editorial calendar and oversaw editorial production for theSKIN, from pitching to publication. I wrote, edited, formatted, and published original beauty service pieces, managed content across the site, and facilitated the launch of theSKIN shop.

As part of the editorial slate, I interviewed beauty founders like Julie Schott (Starface), Yanghee Paik (Rael) and Carina Chaz (DedDool), as well as talents like Mandy Moore.

theSKIN’s weekly newsletter recapped all the best of beauty. I produced and managed weekly sends, and analyzed site and email analytics to understand what resonated most with users and determine company editorial strategy based on data.

DUM DUM ZINE

DUM DUM Zine is an independent experimental press that features literature, poetry, music, art, and interviews, and changes format with each print issue.

As Music Editor, I provided creative coverage of the Los Angeles underground + DIY music scene, which included conducting artist interviews, writing recaps of shows and events, crafting playlists showcasing local artists, and facilitating track premieres. I also assisted with production of print issues, and put my record collection to good use by DJing at DUM events.
